Anu a graduate (M.A) in arts & economics started her career in the banking industry, soon to realize her passion resided in the fitness industry. Growing up as an active and competitive athlete, her zeal has always been to keep fit & active, train hard, educate and help people around her. She has hence followed her passion and dedicated her professional career to being a coach and trainer. She holds an accredited ‘personal trainer’ certification from NASM and a ‘Peak Pilates’ trainer in mat, reformer & chair. She continues to push the boundaries each day by furthering her knowledge and continuing to explore ways to better help her clients.
Becky was first introduced to the Pilates Reformer after the birth of her first child in 2005 and has been hooked on it ever since! Amazed & impressed by the results in her own body, she become a Pilates instructor so that she could share the many benefits of Pilates with others. In 2009, she became certified in Mat Pilates through both the PhysicalMind Institute and Power Pilates. In 2010, with a desire to further her Pilates education she became certified in Equipment through the PhysicalMind Institute. To complement her Pilates practice she is also certified in both TRX group Suspension training and Barre fitness (Barre Above). Becky was captivated with TRX the first time she tried it because of it’s similar Pilates principles of core stability , strength, flexibility, and balance. Having worked with a range of clients including Pre & Postnatal moms, those recovering from injury and/or surgery as well as the intense athlete, Becky passionately believes there is a place for Pilates in everyone’s life! When not in the studio, she loves spending time with her 2 boys , rock climbing and also just relaxing on the couch watching a good T.V show!
Early in her life, Beth fell in love with movement as a dancer, studying classical ballet, modern and jazz. She continued dancing up through college where she first learned about Pilates. After starting a family and taking time off from dancing, it was a running injury that brought her back into the studio where she found Pilates equipment classes. It was then when she dove into learning about the history and execution of Joesph Pilates' art of Contrology. After dedicating over 750 hours toward her training with April Seabold, who was trained at Village Pilates in Forest Park, Beth completed her classical, comprehensive Pilates certification in early 2017 and received her PMA comprehensive certification in 2018. She also has Barre Above training."
Courtney was a Division I field hockey player at Indiana University when she first became interested in Pilates. She was looking for an outlet to workout that was different than running and more independent than what was available in the team setting. She found Pilates and loved how it made her body feel and how it was a challenge in a way she was not used to; a true mind body connection where she had to have complete coordination., Soon she became a Pilates enthusiast. So upon graduating in 2003 she moved to Boulder, Colorado to pursue her passion. She took months of privates and her enthusiasm was taken to a new level when she felt the changes in her body and the benefits of the mind body connection. Courtney then moved to Florida to attend the over 500 hour, comprehensive, New York based Power Pilates classical Pilates training program. She completed the program in 2004 and became devoted to helping people feel and understand how to correct daily compensations and weaknesses through developing uniformity in the body and supporting the movement from the core. Courtney teaches privates and group classes and enjoys both for different reasons. With over 15 years of teaching experience on all apparatus, her passion is helping people move and feel better challenging them properly make the connection to their core. Courtney also has attended a TRX and Barre Above training, and is a Master Trainer for Club Pilates helping to educate people on the Pilates method.
Liz began taking Pilates in 2002 and from the beginning was amazed by what the Pilates Method does for the body and mind. She has always been physically active with dancing, running, and yoga, but Pilates opened up a whole new outlook for her on exercise and the importance of core strength. Liz decided that she wanted to share this incredible method with others by becoming a certified Pilates Instructor. In 2004 she began training under Master Teacher Romana Kryzanowska in New York, a protégé of Joseph Pilates and Master Teacher Janice Dulak in Champagne, IL. With over 600 hours of training and observation Liz was certified through Romana’s Pilates in 2005. Since then, Liz has had the pleasure of teaching full time for over 10 years to many different clients of all levels including training Division 1 high school athletes as well as aspiring professional ice skaters. Aside from being a dedicated teacher she has remained a loyal student of the practice attending many workshops and seminars, as well as practicing the method daily. After having twins in 2014 she understands the importance of prenatal and postnatal Pilates and how much Pilates has kept her strong and agile running after two toddlers. She feels grateful to have found Pilates and looks forward to sharing her knowledge in a fun and challenging way to all of the new faces at Club Pilates!
Holly spent 18 years in digital advertising working at various ad agencies beginning in San Francisco and moving to Illinois in 2014. She has her degree in Marketing as well as her MBA. Her passion for health and fitness developed at a very young age. As a child she dedicated her life to competitive gymnastics and dance which later transitioned into a passion for running because she loved the outdoors. Having suffered from back problems throughout life she fell in love with Pilates in 2006 while living in California and integrated it into her life. She also began taking and teaching barre classes before a door opened for her thru Club Pilates. With this she decided to dedicate herself to the 500 hour Club Pilates training program as well as a certification from Barre Above to be able to pass her Pilates passion along to others. She truly believes that Pilates is for anyone and will lead you down a path of strength, stability and confidence!
Joia grew up in Lisle and went to school at UW Madison for a degree in Art. After college she moved to California and started a rock band. She loved creating music but was an uncomfortable performer who struggled with being on stage. All that changed when she found Pilates. After 3 months of regular practice on the Reformer, her body was transformed. She developed strength and confidence both on and off stage. Pilates changed her physically and emotionally. It gave her an inner belief in her abilities to meet any kinds of challenges. After two years of practice, she decided to become an instructor. Pilates has given her the gift of great health and she loves sharing that gift with others. She has enjoyed teaching for the past 16 years because of what it does for her students. They create more strength, flexibility and balance through the practice, improving their lives. Her teaching style is positive, fun and athletic. She looks forward to seeing you in class! She feels lucky to join such a motivated team of staff and members.
Growing up active in sports and horseback riding, Karri never knew that she had degenerative disc disease that was progressively getting worse until a disc ruptured. She began taking Pilates as a way to recover, rehabilitate and strengthen her body. Amazed at what the method did for her recovery she was immediately hooked. Pilates afforded her the ability to strengthen her body while recovering in a gentle low impact way and the results were undeniable. She knew immediately that she wanted to share her passion and help others in similar situations. After graduating from Central Michigan University and spending 15 years in the corporate world, Karri decided to devote her life to a career in Pilates and Yoga. Karri's certifications began with Mat Pilates through PhysicalMind Institute; followed by a 200-hour Power Yoga certification with Yoga Alliance and then 500-hour Comprehensive Pilates certification through Club Pilates.
Kelly discovered Pilates after 2 car accidents when her neck and back were at the weakest point. She was amazed at how quickly she gained strength and looked forward to every class. She was trained in the STOTT Pilates method and learned practically under an excellent mentor, her very own big sister who opened a studio in West Des Moines, IA in 2004. Having taught a variety of clients from ladies in their 80s to professional athletes, she is convinced that Pilates has a role in each person’s well-being, both physically and mentally. Having recently moved to IL with her husband and 3 children, she left 12 years of clients who became success stories and Pilates addicts for life. Once you know how great you can feel, you will never stop! Several pregnancies and excellent recoveries make her equally convinced that it is the most functional form of exercise around! She is so thankful to be a part of Club Pilates to offer Pilates to more people each day!
Sabine has been working as a full time Pilates teacher since 2017. She was first attracted to mat Pilates in her home country of Switzerland in 2002. After she moved to Chicago in 2015, she discovered apparatus Pilates and was immediately hooked. Early in 2016 she had back surgery and her medical professionals advised her to go back to Pilates to assist in recovery. With clearance from her PT she worked with a studio teacher, while also doing physical therapy. She re-discovered Pilates and appreciated how it helped her gain greater fitness, fully supporting her rehabilitation and successfully returning to daily and athletic activities. She was fueled with passion to then share what Pilates has done for her recovery and completed her 600-hours comprehensive teacher training in September 2017 through Pilates Artistry, Inc., in Chicago before moving to Naperville. She has experience working with clients that have osteoporosis, fused spine, scoliosis, shoulder and knee injuries, pre and post-surgery, pre and post-natal. Clients range in age from 14 years old to 82. “I am passionate about the work that I do and love to see my clients succeed in their goals.”
As a competitive figure skater most of her life, Lisa fell in love with fitness at an early age. The high intensity demand that came with figure skating lead Lisa to utilize personal trainers and physical therapists in an effort to keep her safe and healthy and introduced her to the science side of fitness. After graduating college, she realized that she wanted to pass on that information in the same way her mentors had and became a personal trainer/group exercise instructor. With 10 years of experience, an ACE Personal Training Certification, NASM Corrective Exercise, and 4 years of teaching at Pure Barre, learning Reformer Pilates was the next step in her career. She enrolled in the Club Pilates Teacher Training program and is excited to share her knowledge and experience with everyone.
